Everything in Kwazi — contacts, organizations, forms, submissions, appointments and their settings — is available through a REST API with the same permissions as in the app. Kwazi can also tell another app the moment something happens (webhooks).
| Guide | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Authentication | Base URL, application passwords, who may use them |
| Pagination and polling | items, next_cursor, total; updated_since |
| Errors | One error shape, the codes and what to do |
| Versioning and limits | What can change, rate limits |
| Webhooks | Events, the envelope, signatures, retries |
| Zapier · Make | Step by step, without code |
| API reference | Every route, generated from the OpenAPI document |
The OpenAPI document of your own site (every route, plus your custom fields and the apps you use) is at GET /wp-json/kwazi/v1/openapi.json, or Kwazi → Integrations → API & keys → Download OpenAPI. Import it into Postman, Insomnia or a code generator.
AI assistants use the same actions as abilities (kwazi/find-contacts, kwazi/book-appointment …) through the WordPress MCP adapter. Every route in the reference names its ability.
